What should Apple do with all that crazy iPod Money?
Published by steve January 19th, 2007 in Gadgets, Silicon ValleyKevin and Michael ask in their recent podcast, What should Apple do with all that crazy iPod money? Here are some of my acquisition suggestions/predictions:
Amazon (Market Cap 15 billion) or Ebay (41 billion): Turn iTunes Store into iEverything Store. Buying Ebay would have the added bonus of being just down the street and would include Skype.
T-Mobile USA division from Deutsche Telekom (? billion). Jobs must just hate to have someone between his new iPhone and his iTunes Store.
Ford (15 billion): We saw at CES that automobiles are becoming a media players with wheels. Wouldn’t you buy an Apple iCar?
Nike (25 billion): Merge two great consumer brands and design teams. Nike + iPod Sports Kit just the tip of the iceberg.
Starwood Hotels (13 billion) : Apple expands the notion of designing consumer products to include consumer experiences. Hotels showcase Apple products in every room. Possible tie in with Pixar to do kid-friendly resorts. Can you say Jobsland?
