Seafire We recently spent our spring break on holiday on Maui.

We joined Seafire Charters to visit Molokini on a snorkeling tour. The Seafire departs from the Kihei boat ramp. This is quite convenient if you are staying in Kihei or Wailea.

They have two different tours; we took the three-hour tour, which started at 7:30am.

The Seafire is a perfect-sized flotation equipped boat. Big enough to feel safe and avoid getting sea sick, small enough so there isn’t a crowd when you are snorkeling.

The crew was very helpful, flexible, and friendly. You could tell they genuinely enjoyed their work. They were just as excited as the tourists to watch a whale breeching or to snorkel with two large white fin sharks.

The snorkeling equipment they provided was new and clean. They served a modest breakfast of pastries. They had plenty of sodas and water available.

There were little extras like stopping midway back to drop a microphone so we could listen to the whales singing to each other.

We found the whole trip very enjoyable. We would highly recommend Seafire Charters. If at all possible, book the tour directly by calling them. They must pay a significant commission if you book through your hotel concierge.
