I just starting to read Dan Brown’s first book, Digital Fortress. Within the first fifty pages I felt there was a technical flaw to one of the central plot twists and was doing a Google search to see if anyone had noticed it.

In the process, I stumbled across this 1998 rec.collecting.books newsgroups posting reportedly by Dan Brown. I found it amusing. I wonder if he still has his four copies?

There are a lot of flaws in Dan Brown’s books. I think that this is because he uses the internet to research his material. Like the 666 panes of glass at the pyramid at the Louevre in the DaVinci Code. He is generally sloppy on research. Finding Dan Brown book errors is not exactly a challenge.
