Possible Standards for Umunhum Client Message Protocol: vCalendar and SyncML
Published by steve February 13th, 2004 in UncategorizedThe Umunhum Client Application will allow doctors and other clinical staff to configure patient profiles and reminders using disconnected, stand alone PC.
When the doctors and staff finish defining reminders, they will send the results via SMTP to the On Cue Message Centre.
We are looking for XML based standards for SMS based reminders (aka alerts) and database synchronization semantics
Standards we are investigating:
vCalendar Currently no active XML definition. Can anyone recommend a open source library for reading/wrting vCalendar defintions
SyncML Seems like it may be over kill for what we are trying to acheive. Anyone seen an SyncML implementation that uses SMTP as its transport?
Any recommendations would be welcome.
