I found Heather Green’s report on the State of the Live Web quite informative.

There is one more question question I would like Ms. Green to have ask Dave Sifry, namely: How many blogs have more than one post and how many have more than ten posts ever?

This would give us some sense how quickly blogs are abandoned. I suspect many people try blogging and then find it hard to sustain. Just about everyone has a ouple good ideas or stories they can tell. It is very hard to do week after week.

It requires discipline, an essential ingredient to successful writing and journalism.
